Rowan and Dillon bring a deep sense of songwriting and singing as longtime partners in the Edge….Reminiscent of Paul Simon, Sting and other great masters of world music and a cross pollination of styles and genres SFMC promises to be an ever changing platform for new and exciting talent in the Bay Area….a truly multi media event. Stay tuned….
Tonight featuring Jimmy Dillon guitar & vocals, Lorin Rowan guitar & vocals, Ozzie Ahlers – keys, Eric McCann – bass, Matt Willis drums and percussion, Mike Rinta (trombone) and Michael Peloquin (sax/harmonica) Special Guest Sakai on vocals - and of course the “Wild Tribe” dancers!
Last Tuesday I ran into Mark Pitta host of the wildly successful Tuesday Night Comedy at 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley… He asked me to perform Monster Mash live as a show opener. We had a blast and he put together a movie behind us of B&W stuff…Mel Brooks etc…I could tell there was a buzz as the place was jammed to the gills. After the opening comedian Dana Carvey showed up and did a great set ending w/ some funny acoustic guitar stuff…Neil Young Xmas song and a great Obama schtick. We got together after and chatted and strummed a bit. I will be going down there for next few Tuesdays to promote our big San Francisco Music Club show on Nov 19. New pix going up on Lucy’s site and also a preview to our new CD “Love and Freedom” It’s Rocktober, but, it looks like November is going to be stellar!
